Description:

Streptavidin (SA) is a homotetrameric protein secreted by Streptomyces avidini during its growth. Like avidin, one mole of streptavidin can bind four moles of biotin and has a high affinity for biotin. Since SA does not contain a glycosyl group, SA has a lower level of non-specific binding than avidin in detection applications, and it has been widely used in enzyme-linked immunosorbent assays, immunohistochemistry, and time-resolved immunofluorescence (TRFIA). , quantitative PCR, single-stranded DNA preparation, biomolecule purification, monoclonal antibody preparation and other fields of biotechnology. Compared with natural streptavidin, Streptavidin removes the sequence unrelated to activity, retains only the core sequence related to activity, and is superior to natural SA in stability and solubility, and adds cysteine at the C-terminus. , can be oriented to covalently bond with the carrier.

Notes:

It is recommended that the product is reconstituted with sterile water into a final concentration of
